These two adorable and much loved characters are brother and sister and have been inseparable since the day they were picked up. Porsha, the black and tan, is the boss of the pack (that includes a female boxer who also lives with them). Although tiny in statue but massive in personality and barking orders, she is definitely the princess and one of her loves is sunbaking and protecting her family. Dudley is quite stunning and he loves attention, kisses and plenty of cuddles.
Both travel extremely well in the car and love their walks with little legs going crazy for the first 15-20 minutes especially on the beach. They have been swimming in the sea quite a few times and although its not their favourite sport they do it well. They have been let off lead on a quiet beach and are actually quite well behaved. They do tend to bark when faced with other dogs and Dudley loves to show every other dog who the 'man' is, probably because he certainly isn't at home with Porsha the boss! However if ignored they all calm down and get on like a house on fire. Sorry, no cats.

We think Trish's owner may have passed away. She is a gorgeous and gracious retired lady looking for a retired couple of single lady that she can spend her days with quietly and where they can keep each other company.
She comes and goes into the house through the doggy door, is completely housetrained, adores the company of her foster family and very excited to see them when they come home. She isn't too fussed whether there's another dog to keep her company and we suspect she's been an only dog and would like to continue being an only dog.
She has been vet checked and it's estimated that she might be between 10 and 12 years. If you think you could offer this gorgeous lady her retirement home, please ring Robyn on - 0409 980 509 rmailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
Hamish's mummy is unfortunately going into a Nursing Home in Victoria that does not allow pets and sadly Hamish will have to be rehomed before Christmas.
He is very attached and protective of his 96 year old Mum. He is not a barker, unless of course someone comes to the door and he is walked daily by a neighbour and is good on the lead. Hamish is also housetrained and as you can imagine is quite spoilt. As he has had the companionship of someone home all the time he will need to go to a similar home. However, Hamish is also full of energy just waiting to be released so would love an active retired couple perhaps. Hamish regularly attends the beauty parlour to keep his coat and nails trimmed.
He is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped $300

Sizzles is a beautiful and loving dachshund who adores her cuddles and being with her family. She has been to dog training classes and is much better meeting other dogs out walking although will take her time getting to know them. Whilst at training classes she met some other dachshunds and instantly knew they were her own breed and wanted to be with them. Although she does go in the car she can get a little anxious but is certainly never car sick.
She has grown up with young children who she has had no problems with and loves and plays with them quite happily. However a year ago a new baby arrived and Sizzles started showing some anxiety and now that they’re toddling around her anxiety levels have gone into overdrive and she is not coping and has started snapping at him.
It is for this reason that this much pampered and loved dachshund will have to be rehomed. She wouldn’t mind going to a home with another dachshund, older children or a young retired couple who will continue to keep her in the style to which she’s become accustomed.
She is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped #.943094320115372. $350

Capone has been rescued and at only 5 months old will make a wonderful companion. As he's so young he will need some ongoing training and socialisation and lots of love that a puppy deserves. He has the sweetest and most gentle nature and is a relatively quiet boy and good with both cats and other dogs.
He is 12kg and somewhere between being born and now, someone has cut his tail. It's still there but a lot smaller, he really didn't deserve that.
He is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Happy and fun loving, super affectionate with the best personality! Ziggy is also great with kids having been with a 1 year old for the past year and is also absolutely fine with other dogs both small and large. Ziggy has been in the company of a great dane in his previous home and is now in foster with 2 other dachshunds.
Ziggy is meant to weigh around 8 kg but has put on a few kilos extra of weight which he now needs to lose. With a special diet and regular walking it's certainly achievable!
He would love to go to a family with children but would equally suit older children. Unfortunately Ziggy does not like cats.
He is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped $350
Toffee is approximately 6 years old and came to her current owners about three years ago from a shelter. Not much is known about her previous history but she doesn't appear to have been abused in any way. She's a trim 9 kilos and loves her walks and is particularly good on lead, doesn't bark at other dogs and is not aggressive to other dogs either. She loves the dog beach where she can run free and has good recall. She is a very loving and sooky girl who loves her human companionship.
Unfortunately her owners work full time and Toffee needs to go to a home where either someone is at home most of the day or she has the company of another dog.
She is fully housetrained and has never had an accident inside the house. She is though on a hormone tablet once a week as she has a slightly weak bladder which is thought to be the result of having a littler at a very young age.
Toffee will need secure fencing and possibly not chooks.
She is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped $250

Wiz is a shy dachshund having been used for breeding in a busy kennel with lots of other dogs. She has been in a shelter being desexed and also had three teeth removed and while in there her jaw was broken and she was a very sick little girl with lots of veterinary intervention. She has now been in foster care for a couple of months recovering and she has bonded extremely closely with her foster mum.
Unfortunately Mum has to work full time and Wiz doesn't like being left on her own all day. This is the first time in her life that she is not amongst other dogs with company so it is understandable. Wiz is still a shy and anxious dachshund and is quite fearful of men unfortunately. However she really wants to be loved by everyone and it will take time and patience to help her overcome her fears. Wiz is also very food orientated which will help with her ongoing training. She is extremely good on leash and well behaved in the car. Wiz also loves cuddly toys and will carry one around in her mouth for hours and we believe she thinks these are her puppies as she also collects them up and takes them to her bed.
Wiz would love a settled home where she can continue to pass on that special dachshund love that she so wants to give.
Cooper is a very handsome standard long who is extremely affectionate and loves being in your company. He is good with most other dogs except for the really large ones where he feels a little intimidated. As he is living on a country property he will need help adjusting if he goes to the city, so ideally would like to go to another property with a female dachshund for company, especially as Cooper loves running and is very fast! He has never been around children, cats, chooks so ideally older children who are calm.
Cooper will also need some guidance with housetraining but as he is a very clean dog he will quickly learn what to do with proper training.

Rigby is not a barker unless you're late with dinner and then like all dachshunds he'll let you know that it is dinner time NOW! He is good with other dogs but not cats, and therefore no chooks either. Rigby hasn't been around young children so we would suggest older ones who would allow him to adjust slowly. He's good on the lead and in public, loves the car and was housetrained although will need a reminder on this.
Missy is also 3 years old and again good with other dogs, but not cats. She will bark if strangers turn up to the house but she is not a yappy dog and is a happy and affectionate dachshund. Missy also loves water and swimming on hot days and happily soaks in a clam shell filled with water as well. Both she and Rigby will need to be rehomed together as they're great friends.

George was left at the dog wash as his family could no longer look after him. He arrived with a chronic ear and skin infection which have now been treated and resolved. He has also spent the last couple of weeks on a diet and is now ready for rehoming.
George is a loveable rogue who is quite happy meeting other people, has a tail that constantly wags and is anybody's and everybody's friend as he just wants to be loved. He is regularly at the coffee shop and accepts all the attention he receives even from the children. His downfall is walking on a lead as it's not his favourite pastime and he'll just lie down in the middle of the walk and expect to be carried! He would ideally suit someone in the country or with a large garden where he can potter around, still be taken on walks and would love to go with some gentle children plus another dachshund for company. George is very definitely an indoor dog, loves being indoors and is still learning some manners about not barging in in front of you as well as learning the meaning 'no'.
Sorry, no cats.
