Welcome to Dachshund Rescue Australia.   Sometimes through no fault of their own our beloved breed are dumped in the pounds, abandoned, families break up, people move overseas or their owner has passed away and they find themselves without that comfy sofa, soft words and kind actions.

The aim is to have a central website for dachshunds needing rescue and those dachshunds looking for new homes, thus making the search a whole lot easier for everyone.  As well as raising the profile of dachshunds in need by posting details from pounds and shelters, we also help if you need to rehome your dachshund or wish to offer a new forever home.
